This is easily becoming America's favorite reality show, about singers all with one dream, to be the next American Idol! Season 5 is currently holding auditions. For Season 1, your Idol was Miss Kelly Clarkson, Season 2 Mr. Ruben Studdard, Season 3 was Miss Fantasia Barrino and Season 4 was Miss Carrie Underwood. How do you like this show? Would you go on it, if you could get to the auditions?

Hmmn, We're not getting another pop idol in the uk for another couple of years, but we have this show called the X factor, the only one of those american idols I've heard of is Kelly Clarkson, shes getting quite big over here. American Idol is good though way better than the uk one, the contestants can actually sing! I wouldnt have the guts to do an audition! Lol

Oh...those are the best bits!!! When the people who can't sing have a go!! It's aaamazing! Over here we had 'Popstars' first when a pop band was formed, 'Hearsay' They split like 6 months later and the losers of the show are still going? The we had pop idol...and then Pop stars the rivals! Lol How come X factor got cut?

Down Under we've seen all the American ones. I think that Kelly Clarkson is the only idol that is successful. IN Australia there have been 2 Idols, we are currently in the third. The first winner Guy Sebastian is going alright, but the second Idol was a complete failure.

ive heard of kelly clarkson, thats about it! yeah it seems to be whoever wins these shows, well over here anyway, are the ones that split up or are never to be heard again, and often the loosers are the ones who have what you could call a career!

I love Kelly Clarkson, only heard her from America but I love her! I was at my singing lesson tother day and my singing teacher said. "I've got an amazing song for you to sing, noones heard of it but its amazing." and she showed me Beautiful Disaster and i jumped up and down lol...was very excited!! I never really watched Pop Idol or Pop Stars or anything but I watch X factor, i think its because of Sharon Osbourne...but my mate was trying to persuade me to audition, cos im now 16! And i was like "No way, the things they can say are awful, and i get really emotional. So no." The thought of auditioning infront of millions of viewers is scary stuff.
