1. She was born Alyssa Jayne Milano on December 19, in a working class neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. The daughter or Italian-American parents, she had a modest upbringing and grew up on Staten Island. 4. In 2000, Alyssa caused quite a stir with her promotional work for Candies perfume. Her TV commercials were deemed to risque and networks including Fox and the WB refused to air them. It was a similar story with a couple of print ads, with youth-oriented magazines like Teen People and Seventeen choosing not to run them
5. Aside from Charmed, Alyssa's other notable TV credits include Spin City, Family Guy and Melrose Place. In 1985, she played Arnold Schwarzegger's daughter in the movie Commando, and also appeared alongside Reese Withersthingy and Mark Wahlberg in the 1996 psychological thriller fear. She was even the inspiration behind the mermaid Ariel, for Disney's 1989 animated film, The Little Mermaid. They used one of her photos when they were designing the character
